Most people travel to Baja by road transportation. Millions of people each year enter Baja at the San Ysidro/Tijuana border crossing.. It’s no wonder since the Baja region is one of the most beautiful anywhere in the world.
Be sure to carry some bottled water and most importantly carry identification for each person in the vehicle (including the children), such as a driver's license or birth certificate. It probably will not be asked for getting into Mexico but with tight travel rules, you may well need to present ID getting back into the U.S.
